Getting to San Miguel

Flying

When flying into Mexico the most direct way to get to San Miguel de Allende is via either Queretaro (QRO) or Leon (BJX ) airports. QRO is about 1 to 1.5 hours away and BJX is 1.5 to 2 hours away, depending on traffic. Mexico City is about 4 hours away.

Shuttle Service

There is a fantastic reliable shuttle service that we use every time. BajioGo operates shuttles between SMA and both airports. You can pre-book the shuttle using their website www.bajiogoshuttle.com once you have booked your air travel. The shared shuttle service is currently $30 USD per person and can be pre-paid via credit card or paid in cash to the driver. The shuttle will pick you up and drop you at the door so specify “AGUA 22 ATASCADERO” when booking.

Luxury Bus

There are also “luxury” bus lines running on various routes. We have used the ETN bus line to get elsewhere in Mexico and found it to be reliable and very comfortable. The bus from Mexico City to San Miguel takes about four hours.

Calendar

We created this calendar to help friends and family plan their visits to our beautiful Mexican home. It shows when we will be at home there, when other visitors are scheduled, and when it is rented out to others. If you’re a friend or family member thinking about a trip to San Miguel—whether while we’re here or at another time—just send us an email or use the form to share your dates. We’ll be happy to connect and help make it happen.

All bookings for guests that we haven’t met yet are managed via the HomeExchange.com website. If we haven’t met and you are interested in a stay at Casa Serena please see our listing on that website.
